    Default Disconect Error?

Haven't been playing alot and when I have been its mostly been L4D2 but I went on the CSS server today and was disconnected twice. Never seen this before

"Disconnect: Buffer overflow in net message"

I experienced a shitload of lag both times when it happened is there anything I can do?

Sometimes steam gets bitchy and throws up weird errors. Log out of steam and it should fix it (hopefully).

Go to your steam client and select "steam" in the upper left corner, then select "change user" and logout completely.

You can get that error many ways.
Most common are server commands overloading pertick, you can see this in l4d if you manually spawn zombies, or in CSS, if you get everone to nae each other at the same time in a large map.

Its a lag /command tick issue.
    Go Source.

To make sure your system isnt damaged,
    Go to Steam Library,
    right click the source game,
    select properties,
select local files from the tob nav bar tab
    Select Verify Game cache.

sometimes its best to reset your configuration files
NAvigate to steam/steamapps/yourname/[gamename]/[gamedir]/cfg/ and delete that folder.

    example:
    steam/steamapps/zero/counterstrike-source/cstrike/cfg

Sometimes, it can also be fixed by deleting your sprays cache. The sprays cache keeps a list of all the sprays youve ever seen, so it doesnt ahve to be redownloaded. The caching process forwards info between you and the server, on a laggy connection just the chatter between the two can get an overflow error.

    that will be in gamename/gamedir/materials/vgui/temp

    example:
    counsterstrike-source/cstrike/materials/vgui/temp

    Hope this helps
