Need help in setting up a headset?

Hey guys I use plantronics headset?
And It cost me almost a $100 for that headset?
But when I connect it in my computer?, and
I tested it in option? It's working?
But when I'm inside the game???
It ain't working?

And It says in the console that to check the
"USERCONFIg"???

Here's what it say exactly...
couldn't exec userconfig.cfg
Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/config.cfg

And I really don't know what I'm going to do with it??

Can someone please help me out with this?
Because I don't want to waste my money.

-do you use xp or vista?
-did you un-install your previous sound drivers/install any new drivers?
-is your sound card set to default recording device in your OS?

what sound card are u using or do u use on board from your motherboard??
what are your audio configs for your sound and what are your setting in game for sound ??

also like ender said did u install drivers for sound card or head set (some headsets come with there own drivers like mine)
