The Journey

Lying here thinking,
Wanting to explode.
Feeling like a time bomb,
Hoping to crack the code.

Living in a daydream,
Time slipping by.
Feeling like I can't go on,
Knowing I have to try.

Memories go thru my head,
Of time spent all alone.
So I pick up a piece of paper,
And put my thoughts in poem.

Dancing thru the darkness,
On a long and winding road.
Hoping someday I will find
A place to call my own,

Wondering if I'll ever find
The dreams of one so young.
Searching for the person
The one I will become.

I hope someday I'll find myself,
And live my life complete,
The answer lies within me,
Below the world's deceit.

After all is said and done.
And I have walked the path,
I pray to end up near the sun,
Away from earthly wrath.

The angels sing in heaven,
As I will sing on earth,
Knowing that I've finnaly found
The treasure of my worth.

Heartache follows closely,
Hiding in the dark.
Happiness surrounds me
But shadows cloak my heart.

Someday one will come along,
And turn on the light inside.
They'll show me there is nothing
For me from which to hide.

It's possible; That someone,
Already passed my way,
And somewhere in the future,
I'll see a single ray.

A beam of light so brilliant,
It cannot be denied.
A realization in my heart,
The truth I cannot hide.

To many people I am in debt.
For things I've realized
They showed me how to find the way
They saw things thru my eyes.

Put themselves in my position,
And helped me carry on.
I am forever grateful,
Though many of them are gone.

And although I'll always wonder
If I have done enough,
I'll continue down the boulevard,
Even when the way gets rough.

So here I am, content for now,
In knowing someone dares,
To walk beside me down the street,
There's security in pairs.

I'll never know until the end,
Just where my lane has lead,
I hope my legacy continues,
Long after I am dead.

Many more will walk this way,
As many have before.
Continue on your journey,
Till you knock on Heavan's door.

I wish you luck, forever friend,
I'll miss you when you're gone,
But think of me when you are alone,
And our love will carry on...

Are we Friends, or are we not?
You told me once, but i forgot!
So tell me now, and tell me true,
So I can say, I am here for you.
Of all the friends I have ever met.
Your the one I wont forget!
AND if I die before you do...
I'll go to heaven and wait for you.
I'll give the angels back there wings.
And risk the loss of everything.
Just to prove my friendship is true.
To have a friend like YOU!!!!

The Happy Infection

Smiling is infectous you catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today i stared smiling too.
I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin,
When he smiled i realized i had passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile and I realized its worth,
I simple smile just like my could travel round the earth.
SO, If you feel a smile begin dont leave it undetected,
Lets start and epidemic quick and get the world infected!

Loneliness
how can you define loneliness
how there this strong, elusive, deep feeling of emotion
that feeling of loss
that feeling of envy when seeing others, so happy, with so much love
when tragedy strikes the soul
when all seems to fail and everything drops into darkness
why this feeling
why has this cold dagger stricken my heart with pain, loss, and sorrow
what keeps me going on through these long weeks... days...
what compels me to continue on with this pain
this pain that started on that unexpected day of sorrow
this feeling that wont lift from my heart
the happiness
the joy
all that is good seems to bleed out of me when it is so tangibly I can taste it
all of this slips from my grasp as I try with all my will to catch it
that fateful day
that day in the church
the day when all worldly perspective fades away
the day when the realization of the way the world works strikes so suddenly
to this day I realize that there is no Being to save me from this sorrow
to this day I still have this painfully sorrow dagger protruding from my heart
