Advantages of a tiny crosshair and how to make it small?

Everyone always tells me that having a smaller crosshair is better (smaller than the one you can get through options) but I never knew why it would be. Don't the bullets go in the space between the bars anyway?

Also, whats the command you type in console to make a smaller crosshair? Thanks.

cl_crosshairscale 1200 is basic. 7000 is smallest.

It's better because it gives you a more dead on spot instead of an inch of crosshair.

Ah okay. I made it tiny but the shot still doesn't hit the targets when I'm moving. Also, what color is best so that you can still see it if a light is in the way or something like that?

That you just have to mess with. Use every color till you find the one that fits you best.

ME I use Green.

Nice I just put green and it works really nice. As long as I'm still my bullet goes where I point for the most part. I never got how people got headshots with pistols from across the map. Thanks!
